I have just received some very sad news that after a long illness Pam Moren Brown passed away on Tuesday night.
For those of you that didn’t know Pam, she has been involved with WADS for many years and was an honorary member!
Pam was a lovely, talented and creative person. As well as designing lots of costumes over the years particularly for Pantomime, Pam also wrote scripts and sketches for us to perform. The one most of us will remember is Peter Pan. This even included a harness for her granddaughter Ellie who played Tinker Bell. Some of us will never forget the site of her graceful flying across the stage! That was certainly a ‘first’ for WADS.
As I have said, Pam also contributed lots of sketches and dialogue for some of our reviews over the years. She had a talent for writing very good comedy.
As soon as I know about the funeral arrangements I will let you know.
