Valentine’s Day Murder Review
6 September 2017The Emperor’s New Clothes 2018
5 December 2017After two very successful productions the WADS members are now having a well earned rest!
We started the year with our annual Panto Dick Whittington which went down a storm. Oh yes it did! With six performances put on over two weekends in Jan/Feb, a great time was had by everyone involved. The panto is a massive undertaking involving every member and anyone else we can rope in, especially to help backstage during performances.
Following a short break it was then straight on to our next production. This time a murder mystery evening where we went back to the 1920’s in Chicago. Over three nights in May we entertained our audience ‘in the round’. This is where you perform around your audience whilst they’re sitting at their tables. This is a bit more daunting than performing on the stage. This is in your face up close and personal! Again all three nights were a success with some fantastic feedback from the audience. We enjoyed ourselves immensely as we got to dress up and talk in some very funny and slightly dodgy Chicago gangster accents. This was no mean feat!
As you can tell we always a have a great time. So if you want to have a great time too you know what to do! COME AND JOIN US. We meet every Thursday at Woodcote village hall. Remember we’re all resting at the moment, but look out for the WADS news updates in the next edition of the correspondent
We start reading the panto scripts in the summer, before meeting up in October to start the auditions. If you fancy being involved in the next one, whether it’s on stage or behind the scenes, please get in touch as we would love for you to come and join us!
